Non-profit agencies are seeing a lack of donations during this holiday season, with many blaming the downturn in the economy. In Santa Fe the Food Depot, is a non-profit organization and northern New Mexico’s food bank is experience a drop in donations by fifty percent. The depot’s executive director Sherry Hooper says even though the holiday season is almost over its not too late to donate.
Hooper also says with the fewer donations there will be fewer meals provided to hungry people and the food depot has been forced to limit the amount of food given to its member organizations.
