West End Press is publishing the New Series a collection of volumes of poetry from local poets who push the boundaries of the genre.
Jason Yurcic is one of the featured poets who will be reading at the Albuquerque Cultural Conference’s Poetry and Activism event tomorrow night in Albuquerque. Yurcic couldn’t read until he was 25. He was caught up in a cycle of violence including street fighting, drugs and alcohol... that is, until he decided to commit suicide.
