Community Collaborations

Generation Justice

Sun. 4/23 7p: This week's show is all about community partnerships organizing for change. We talk with Sommer Smith about Protect and Serve ABQ and their work to create dialogue about the relationship between law enforcement and communities they serve. Then Sonya Warwick of Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico, Ski Shaski of Knowaste, and Stephanie Grilo of Public Allies New Mexico talk about the Re-Food Project to reduce waste at community events by re-using pre-prepared foods, recycling, and composting! Finally, we'll speak with Michael Butler and Sherri Gonzalez of Bernalillo County La Raza Unida and the Southwest Organizing Project about the collaboration of community organizations planning the festivities for May Day/International Workers Day. Have a listen!
