Mon. 6/6, 8:30p:A nomadic duo of musicians from Grand Rapids (Michigan), FOLIAS stops in our station as part of their US Tour.FOLIASDuo, flutist Carmen Maret and guitarist Andrew Bergeron perform live tango & South American folk music, and their own compositions in RAICES hosted by Cristina Baccin.
Carmen Maret received her Bachelor of Music in flute performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and her Master of Music in flute performance from Michigan State University School of Music. Andrew Bergeron received his Master of Music in composition at Michigan State University School of Music where he was recipient of the “Paul Harder Composition Scholarship.” Carmen & Andrew are touring with FOLIAS in the US, and they have performed in Europe (Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Portugal), South America (Argentina and Chile) and Africa (Guinea).
