January 24, 2011 – A campaign called Invest in Kinds Now kicked off at the state capitol today. Advocates propose using a percentage of royalties from oil and gas investments in the state permanent fund to support education for children under the age of 5.

Allen Sanchez is the Executive Director of the New Mexico Conference of Bishops and CEO of St. Joseph community health. He says the permanent fund is valued at over 10 billion dollars and it's time to use some of that money to prepare young children to be successful in school - all the way through college.
