January 20, 2011 – In 1969, Price was a 23 year old graduate student at SUNY Buffalo when she got a grant to photograph communes in the Southwest. After taking photos in southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico, she and her husband then decided to take it one step further and join the back to the land movement.
