A coalition of conservation groups sued the federal government Tuesday over its new plan for recovery of the endangered Mexican grey wolf. The lawsuit says the plan won’t ensure that the animal thrives in the southwest.

Trump's Border Wall Proposal Faces Lawsuit

The Center for Biological Diversity filed a lawsuit against President Trump’s administration last week targeting a plan to build a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico. The group is calling for the federal government to investigate the wall’s environmental impacts.

A former UNM student who said she was assaulted by two Lobo football players and a CNM student last year filed a lawsuit in District Court  against the university Thursday. The lawsuit alleges Title IX investigators at UNM protected the athletes by conducting a shoddy investigation.

An education labor union has filed a lawsuit in state district court against Public Education Secretary Designate Hannah Skandara.  The National Education Association of New Mexico says they are at their wits’ end over the teacher evaluation system and are asking the courts to intervene.

Another Suit Filed Against Sheriff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A former administrative assistant for Bernalillo County Sheriff Dan Houston has filed a lawsuit claiming the sheriff created a hostile workplace for women.

Deborah Garcia provided a copy of her Aug. 28 complaint to the Albuquerque Journal (http://bit.ly/TxRT75) this week.

In the filing, Garcia alleges Houston made comments about female employees' clothing, body size and breast size. She also says he made negative remarks about her religion.
