Oct 29 7:30p: Raices will honor four great classic Latin American singers and song writers for you to enjoy and remember on our Day of the Dead: Violeta Parra from Chile, Mercedes Sosa from Argentina, Amparo Ochoa from Mexico, and Chabuca Granda from Peru. We’ll play some of their songs and briefly talk about their lives and songwriting. Tune in to get a real feeling of Latino American women’s voices and their contribution to our musical culture.

Sat. Oct. 27, 3p: Cuban Pianist and Composer Hilario Durán is interviewed from Canada by host Cristina Baccin.
One of the most innovative creators of Afro-Cuban music & Latin Jazz will be in Albuquerque with Canadian flautist and saxophonist Jane Bunnett. They join their forces with legendary Cuban percussionist Candido Camero to present a new creation: "Cuban Raphsody" at the Outpost Performance Space, on November 1st at 7:30pm.
