Mary Oishi

Mary Oishi began hosting a Blues show (called Wang Dang Doodle) in Colorado in the mid-1990s. She subbed for The Blues Show, Afternoon Freeform, and Women's Focus on KUNM soon after arriving in 1999, and became the permanent host of The Blues Show in March of 2009. She often has themes for her shows, and plays from the full spectrum of the Blues genre, from classic and delta blues to Chicago and blues rock. She enjoys re-igniting listeners' passion for the Blues, a passion that was often ignited in the first place by 60s rockers who paid homage to the roots of rock 'n roll.
