Sous-Chef Marla Thorp, who resides in Jacksonville, Florida, shares her story and the career path that let her to becoming a Sous-Chef when African American women, after spending years in kitchens, cooking and baking were not allowed to join unions or treat their cooking skills as a profession until about 1939.
