Fri. 9/21 11a: Native American flute music is known in some of the most far-reaching places on the planet.

This beautiful music has become synonymous with the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island.

Has the Native American flute helped to bridge understanding about who we are as Native peoples and what we believe? Or, has it become a musical stereotype? What records need to be set straight when it comes to its role and its importance to Native people?

We invite to you to join us as we visit with some of the world renown Native flute musicians.

Guests include Native Musicians R. Carlos Nakai (Navajo-Ute) and Robert Mirabal (Taos Pueblo).
