Sat. 11/7: In this show, we share an interview conducted by Cristina Baccin with the Colombian musical group "La Perla" during their participation in WOMEX or Worldwide Music Festival (Budapest and Berlin, 21-25 October).
The sound of“La Perla” is rooted in the sensuality of Caribbean Colombia as well as in the urban urgency of Bogotá and in Latin American unity, a unity that convenes this trio of artists. These Colombian percussionists, scholars, and professional musicians from the group "La Perla" root their music in the Colombian Gaita -one of the indigenous instruments that make this group shine-, as well as the drums: the tambor alegre, the tambora and the llamador.
