Albuquerque, NM – State lawmakers were called back into a special session this week to finish negotiations on the state budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Just after Sarah spoke with Matt, that House committee did act on the cigarette tax legislation.
Lawmakers voted to amend the bill to earmark 25 cents per pack for education. The measure now heads to the house floor for debate.
