Wed. 3/23 at 2pm: A singer, songwriter, guitarist and kantele player (Finnish folk harp), Diane Jarvi is a versatile performer of folk and world music. Diane will be joined by Dan Newton (aka Daddy Squeeze) on accordion.
In addition to her own compositions, Jarvi is known for her intimate and authentic interpretations of tangos, waltzes, gypsy music, ballads, jazz standards and cabaret songs from around the world. On Wild Gardens, her latest CD, Jarvi travels through the gardens of France, Finland, Sweden, Chile, the British Isles and Texas.
Diane will be performing free concerts at the Tony Hillerman Library on March 23 and the South Broadway Library on March 4. Both Diane and Dan will be offering workshops while they are here too. For info on their performances and workshops, visit AMP Concerts.
