Wed. 9/18 11a: Today it’s all about high fashion in our electronic talking circle. The New York City fashion week wrapped up last week. There were moments that made many heads turn and jaws drop.

Among the parade of high fashion fabrics and accessories were several Indigenous designs. As the world continues to buzz about what was on the cat walk this year, we want to highlight the fashion brilliance of Indigenous designers.

Who is at the top of your Native fashion list? Do you applaud their representation of our Native nations? How do Indigenous designs compare to other labels? What message is Native couturier sending right now?

Guests include First Nations designers Linda LaVallee and Luugigyoo Patrick Stewart of Creenisgaa Clothing, Sho Sho Esquiro and photographer Anthony Thosh Collins.
