An interview with the co-founder and CEO of Bioneers.
Albuquerque, NM – Carol Boss talks with Nina Simons, the co-founder and co-CEO of Bioneers, the national nonprofit that identifies, gathers, and disseminates breakthrough solutions to environmental and social challenges. Her new book, Moonrise: The Power of Women Leading from the Heart, features 30 essays from such trailblazers as author Alice Walker, playwright Eve Ensler, hip-hop performer Rha Goddess, holistic doctor Rachel Naomi Remen and many others. Each of their narratives explore how they cultivated their leadership impulses and their "feminine" strengths, reinventing leadership to prioritize community, collaboration, the environment, and the common good.
Nina Simons is a speaker and teacher on the environment, restoring the sacred feminine, and the call to engaged action. She gives workshops on cultivating women's leadership and co-produces the annual Bioneers Conference.
