Women's Focus Sat. 8/18, 12p: Carol Boss speaks with nature writer Susan Hand Shetterly whose new book, "Seaweed Chronicles: A World at the Water's Edge", breathes life and wild beauty into one of the most overlooked but important species on earth.  

Also, a conversation with actress Kathleen Turner, a board member of People For the American Way Foundation, about their nonpartisan program, The Young Elected Officials Network, which provides support to the newest generation of progressive leaders. And  KUNM's  newest jazz djs, Patti Littlefield and Allison Davis, are  bringing in some of their favorite music to share as they talk about women in jazz.
