12/12 11a: The Sunka Wakan Oyate (the Horse Nation) is the foundation for a youth program on the Standing Rock Sioux reservation in South Dakota. The suicide rate there is nearly three times the national average. The Spirit Riders Youth Horseback Club nurtures youth to build close relationships with the Horse Nation, nature, culture and self.
