Albuquerque, NM – StoryCorps Historias is an oral history project based on the idea that the stories of everyday people are the most important and interesting of all. Each Tuesday, we bring you a story recorded this Summer at a StoryBooth in Albuquerque. This week Mathia Zamora talks with his daughter Monica about childhood in the village of Mora with Catholic Feast Days, cold winters and the enduring words of a loving mother. Mathia Zamora and Daughter Monica in a conversation recorded in a StoryCorps Mobile Booth at the National Hispanic Cultural Center this summer.
This project was made possible by the NHCC and a grant from the New Mexico Humanities Council.
