Teen Band Live: Los Indie Rockers

Sat. 7/27 3p: This is a beautiful group of 13-yr-old kids who have the nerve, skill, passion and respect, for music. Mina Gonzalez is lead singer and plays rhythm guitar, Carlos Mendoza is lead guitarist, Angel Garcia is the bassist and Evan Rico takes care of percussion. 

Carlos say's "We are an Indie Rock band with many tastes in music and have not only formed a band but a family as well."
They are focused on creating and cultivating original work as well as other styles that include vibrant Flamenco with Palmas, which will be performed live during the Raices program hosted by Maria Elena.

Tristan began his career in public radio in 1988 as a reggae show host and programming assistant at KNMS-FM in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In the decade that followed, he worked as a public television producer and as an assignment editor for the Albuquerque NBC affiliate. Tristan graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1992 with a degree in political science. He has won numerous awards for reporting and anchoring from both the Arizona and the New Mexico Associated Press.
