Hummingbirds can fly backwards, upside-down, and float in mid-air. The PBS series Nature explores these little creatures in the first episode of their 35th season which airs on New Mexico PBS.

Christopher Witt, UNM Associate Professor and Curator of Birds at the Department of Biology and Museum of Southwestern Biology, says they are the most amazing species he studies. He's one of the scientists featured in the program.  He spoke with KUNM's Chris Boros.
