Mon. 3/4, 7p: Every time we walk near the Rio Grande we can hear the deep sounds of nature and especially the trills of birds. The Rio Grande Valley, its sounds and its birds are the inspiration of MIGRANT SONGS, a choir performance with stories and songs from human and non-human migrants: how much we humans resemble to birds? Do we migrate like them?

Today in Espejos de Aztlán -hosted byCristina Baccin-, we´ll talk about Migrant Songs, a performance directed, performed  and composed by mostly women: UNM Associate Professor and Director Szu-Han Ho; conductor Lina Ramos, and Selene vences-Ortiz, whose own story is part of the creative process in MIGRANT SONGS. The performance will be presented during the  19th Annual Revolutions International Theatre Festivalin Albuquerque, and it will take place at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, on March 28th and 29th at 7:15pm
