Studio 505

  • With an impressive discography of over five studio albums and accolades, including a New Mexico Music Award for Best Songwriter, Kevin Herig's musical influence knows no bounds.
  • Tues. 4/15 7pm. Tonight Studio 505 features a conversation and live DJ set with TrillBot (Will Ribbans) recorded last week in KUNM's Studio A with host Brandon Kennedy and engineer Chris Alires.
  • Spend an hour with Mineral Hill, self-described as Human Country Funk and even Eclectic Feral Americana, as they play a few tunes from their latest album "The Sun Comes Around"
  • YAGÓDY is a Ukrainian folk group that blends traditional folk music with modern rhythms. fusing layered female harmonies with a theatrical presentation, YAGÓDY’s music is beautiful, mythical, and powerful.
  • KUNM DJ Brando had a chance to sit down with Morgan Jahnig of Old Crow Medicine show to discuss life as musician, living on the road, and more. Old Crow is on tour now. Big thanks to Morgan Jahnig for taking the time out to speak with us!

  • Over the course of 30 years the Las Cruces-born/Albuquerque-based band Nosotros has remained restless, changeable & consistently popular. As the single "Mentiras" was released the band came by "Studio 505" to perform new songs destined for their next album.
  • Los Metamorfos performing live in KUNM's Studio A! Led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Casey Mráz, METAMORFOS is a quintet that blends a wide variety of music into a whirl of psychedelic world fusion. They mix traditional Andean instruments with roots music in a form they call South Americana.
  • The prolific Albuquerque Rock quintet return to Studio A with a selection of new songs plus their first studio-ready cover song.
  • Is it Chamber Rock or Art Rock? Post-psychedelia maybe? Like a lot of Taos bands, the trio Art of Flying are just fine making sui generis songs & albums, & with 40 years' experience behind them they know there's no substitute for a well-made tune. For this visit the band brought songs from their latest "Heart Slaughter" -- or is it "Heart's Laughter"? -- plus as-yet unrecorded material.
