Mon. 1/29, 7p: Honoring Black History Month, today we´ll have a conversation with Dr. Careaga Coleman hosted by Cristina Baccin about the Afro-Latino Talks series at UNM. We´ll focus on one question: Are African descendants recognized in Mexico?  Dr. Coreaga´s research includes the study of Son Jarocho and Afro-Mexican foods as cultural retentions, and the legacy of Caribbean dance in Mexican culture.

On this month's show we talk with the keynote speakers at the Black Cultural Conference, which takes place Sept. 21-23, 2017 at the University of New Mexico.
