Let’s Talk New Mexico 2/27 8am: It’s near the end of Black History Month, and we’re going to be talking about the impact of black people on the culture of New Mexico. From historical contributions to the present day, African Americans have been fundamental in the development of the rich traditions of the state.

Curry, author of the book The Man-Not: Race, Class, Genre, and the Dilemmas of Black Manhood, and Personal Chair of Africana Philosophy & Black Male Studies at the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Curry helps us to unpack the narratives about black men and boys that have been distorted in history, media, and academia
