The Children's Hour, Sat. 2/9 9a: What does a Governor do, and how do her decisions impact kids? The Children's Hour kids crew members Lila and Sienna Allen sat down with New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham to find out what her plan is to improve the lives of children across our state.

The Children's Hour broadcast live from the ABQBiopark’s Aquarium in front of the shark tank with about 100 people in our audience. The Children’s Hour kids interviewed the aquarist Damien about what it’s like to dive with the sharks. Otter keeper Ashley taught us about our river otters, Mayhem and Chaos. We also learned how Adam grows coral at the Biopark.  “Why The Sun and the Moon Live In The Sky” was performed by storyteller Ramona King, and Rowan McJimsay gave us live music. January 19, 9-10am: Everyone is welcome to join The Children’s Hour  broadcast live from the Tony Hillerman Branch Library at 8205 Apache Ave NE in Albuquerque. Learn why we named a library after author Tony Hillerman. With live music from Sage Harrington and her ukulele playing students, and storytelling from the amazing librarians on staff. This is a *FAMILY FRIENDLY AND FREE* event. The library will open early at 8:30am for show attendees.  

The Children's Hour, Sat 1/12 9a: What happens in the State Legislature? We'll talk with New Mexico State Representative Liz Thomson and the Wild Friends of New Mexico to find out what they’re doing this year during the New Mexico Legislative Session, and how an idea becomes a law.

The Children's Hour, Sat 12/29 9a: We'll play something from all of the Grammy nominees for 2018's Best Children's Release, plus more of our favorites that came out this year. We'll also find out what happens when a dog or cat ends up in the pound. Bernalillo County Animal Welfare will be bringing in some furry adoptable friends to tell the tale of their journey, and where they go from here.

The Children's Hour, Sat 12/22 9a: Join family music performer from Portales, New Mexico, Andy Mason in a sing-a-long with The Children's Hour kids crew and Katie. We'll hear the song awarded "Best Children's Song" at the New Mexico Music Awards, performed by the man himself. Plus, the kids have chosen holiday music that's sure to warm your heart on a cold morning.

The Children's Hour, Sat 12/8 9a: Some Albuquerque 4th and 5th graders are riding bikes to learn literacy and cultural education through a special after school program called Story Riders. We’ll also get an update about the children who are suing the Federal Government for not doing enough to curb climate change, and violating the civil rights of children across our nation. It's all in an hour, every Saturday from 9 to 10am.

Dr. William Dehority from UNM Pediatrics Division of Infectious Diseases will educate us all about vaccinations. Why do we use vaccines, and what diseases do they prevent? How do they work?
