Albuquerque, NM – On a date that only comes once a century, events around New Mexico and the nation will draw attention to what many consider the problem of the century. 10-10-10 events are set for this Sunday, October 10th to focus on fighting climate change.
New Mexico US Senator Tom Udall will give the keynote address at an Albuquerque rally. Long-time Albuquerque business owner Art Gardenswartz, who will emcee the event, says the rally is especially relevant in the New Mexico which is predicted to suffer through years of extreme drought if climate change continues unabated.
The Albuquerque event will feature speakers, live entertainment, and booths demonstrating how to do things like composting, caulking your house, and analyzing your carbon footprint.
Other 10-10-10 events are planned in Santa Fe, Taos and Los Alamos and at the University of New Mexico campus in Albuquerque.
