Oscar Olivera (Quechua/ Aymara) Executive Secretary of the Cochabamba Federation of Factory Workers and spokesperson for the Coalition in Defense of Water and Life, known as La Coordinadora, is speaking up about water rights. In his speech to his Bolivian nation and beyond, he is demanding that water systems stay under the people’s control especially in Indigenous communities. It is his goal to see more water systems out of the sole control of government management and transnational corporations.
