STEM women, the next generation of pioneers

Sat, 11/13, 12pm:  Carol Boss speaks with two women scientists, microbiologist Hashini Mukundan (New Mexico) and entomologist Ronda Hamm (Indiana).  Both are actively involved with AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) Ambassador's program which brings together 125 women from a variety of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers to serve as high-profile role models for middle school girls, showing them the different career pathways they can pursue and how STEM impacts their lives every day.

Carol also has a conversation with Glory Edim, founder of the beloved Well-Read Black Girl, the hugely popular book club that celebrates Black literature and sisterhood.
They'll talk about "On Girlhood", Glory's newly published anthology of short stories from 15 Black female writers whose groundbreaking stories explore the thin and essential line between Black girlhood and womanhood.
