She graduated from Columbia University with a master's degree in journalism and from Northeastern University with a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Lauren a reporter and editor based at WFYI in Indianapolis. She maintains Side Effects' website, social media accounts (which you can follow on Facebook and Twitter) and newsletter (which you should sign up to get weekly). Lauren graduated from Towson University and moved to Indiana in 2012, where she began her career as a newspaper reporter. She reported on health and social services for the Bloomington Herald-Times. Her work has been recognized by the Indiana chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists and Associated Press Media Editors, as well as the Hoosier State Press Association.

Ryan Finnerty is producer on Hawaii Public Radio's local public affairs talk show The Conversation where he reports on local and state politics, business, economics, science, and the environment. Before coming to Hawaii Public Radio, Ryan was an officer in the U.S. Army stationed at Schofield Barraks on Oahu. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in economics.

Jaclyn Driscoll is the Jefferson City statehouse reporter for St. Louis Public Radio. She joined the politics team in 2019 after spending two years at the Springfield, Illinois NPR affiliate. Jaclyn covered a variety of issues at the statehouse for all of Illinois' public radio stations, but focused primarily on public health and agriculture related policy. Before joining public radio, Jaclyn reported for a couple television stations in Illinois and Iowa as a general assignment reporter.

Ever since seeing B.B. King perform on a flatbed truck, Perdita Wexler has been hooked on music. The performance was part of the 1970 Medicine Ball Caravan Tour near Placitas, New Mexico. This passion for music was nurtured at the Thunderbird Bar as well as at Okie’s, the Civic Auditorium, the Pit and Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque. Radio deejays, record store clerks and her own family’s diverse musical tastes also played a role in her love of music. She is a big supporter of local, live music. She has lived in Alaska, Colorado, Mississippi, Washington and Macedonia, yet always finds her way home to New Mexico.
