10th Annual Hike to End Hunger

10th Annual Hike to End Hunger

Join us for Rio Grande Food Project's 10th Annual Hike to End Hunger on Saturday October18th, 2025. Enjoy a heart-healthy walk and join in the fun on the beautiful lawn at Pat Hurley Park to eat, play, and relax in the gorgeous New Mexico sunshine!
RGFP's Hike to End Hunger is a fun and FREE community-building and educational event.
FREE registration opens: 9:30am
Event starts: 10:00am
Hike starts along the park’s lower loop with a gradual incline up to the park’s upper loop area with one of the best views of the city! The Lower Loop and Upper Loop Trails combined are 1.3 miles, and if you prefer a longer hike, you can double the Upper Loop or choose from 3 different stair trails for a more strenuous workout. The family friendly trail is stroller and dog friendly.
Before and after the walk/hike, or if you prefer to stay behind, play cornhole, giant checkers, lawn darts, or get your groove on with the Headphone Dance Party with Orbit or a Storm Trooper on the lawn at Pat Hurley Park. Burritos from Three Sisters Kitchen (for sale) and and paletas will fuel you for the day and make sure to get your face painted, and maybe win a raffle! Cuddle a puppy while visiting Animal Humane in their Moby unit, chat up our Albuquerque Master Gardener and Composter teams, check out Libros for Kids and Kids Cook and meet many more of our community partners who support RGFP in our mission to alleviate hunger and cultivate long-term food security in our communities. So bring your friends, kids, colleagues, and family dogs to this community-centric event to support feeding our neighbors!
