Public Reception: Grounded in Clay
Join us to welcome Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery, organized by the School for Advanced Research (SAR) and the Vilcek Foundation, back to the Southwest in the 19 Pueblos District of Albuquerque. Curated by the Pueblo Pottery Collective, this unique traveling exhibition features over 100 historic and contemporary works in clay. Grounded in Clay returns home from its four-year national tour to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (IPCC) as our headline program of the Center’s 50th anniversary celebration year. This special evening will feature a Pueblo social dance, Pueblo Pottery Collective curators’ remarks, light refreshments, and a viewing of our anniversary exhibition, 50 for 50: Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, 1976-2026. Free admission. Event supported by the First Nations Development Institute and Noon Whistle Fund.
