Pueblo SEEDSS - Raised Bed Gardening
Pueblo SEEDSS - Raised Bed Gardening
IPCC created the Pueblo SEEDSS Program (Sowing Ecological Education for Delivering Sustainable Stewardship) as a way to teach and promote sustainable agricultural practices, traditional cooking methods, and healthy lifestyles within Native communities.
In honor of Indigenous Peoples Day learn how raised bed gardening provides massive benefits to growers and potential growers in our high desert climate. Raised beds offer ultimate soil control, they create and accommodate an environment for plant sustainability and extending growing season and are a great start for beginner gardeners to build confidence in their growing abilities. Beginner and seasoned gardeners will be learning hands-on with constructing raised beds, preparing the soil and planting for the cool season.
