Sylvia Earle: Hero For the Planet

Sat 11/27, 12pm.  On Women's Focus, Carol Boss talks with Sylvia Earle, world renown oceanographer, marine biologist and first National Geographic female explorer in residence who has led numerous undersea expeditions including the first team of all-women aquanauts. Time Magazine named her its first "Hero For the Planet" and she was named a "Living Legend by the Library of Congress.

Carol also talks with grammy-award winning drummer Terri Lyne Carrington, the founder of the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.  She's collaborating on a new project, the "Next Jazz Legacy Program".  It's an apprenticeship and mentorship program for women and non binary and transgender jazz musicians across the U.S.  pairing them with artistic and business professionals.
