Reggae Expressions Brings Community Dance Party to Old Town Albuquerque
Albuquerque, NM — DeeCee’s Soul Shakedown and Vinyl Consumption Record Shop present Reggae Expressions, a community-focused reggae dance party happening Friday, January 23 from 8:00–11:00 PM at Expressions by Collective Frequency, located at 303 Rio Grande Blvd NW in Old Town Albuquerque.
Reggae Expressions is dedicated to bringing together New Mexico’s reggae community through music, movement, and cultural connection. The night will feature Selecta DeeCee spinning reggae classics from every era and style, creating an authentic island-inspired dance experience rooted in positivity and unity.
The event is designed not only as a celebration of reggae culture, but also as a way to support local arts and community spaces. A $10 suggested donation will be collected at the door, with 50% of all proceeds directly benefiting Expressions by Collective Frequency, a local non-profit community and arts organization.
“This night is about more than just music,” says event organizer DeeCee. “It’s about supporting the spaces that allow culture, creativity, and community to thrive in Albuquerque.”
The event is 21+ with valid ID and welcomes dancers, music lovers, and community members alike.
