Quantum Physics Meets Live Coding

Ready to explore one of the most mysterious frontiers in science?

STEMarts Lab Bootcamp #2 is happening March 14, and this time we’re diving into quantum science.

In this immersive one-day experience at UNM Taos HIVE for students ages 14-25, you’ll continue building your Live Coding skills while stepping into the mind-bending world of quantum research.

The morning session will be led by Natalie Foster, Quantum Researcher at Sandia National Laboratories, who will share how quantum science is shaping the future — and how students like you can be part of it.

In the afternoon, you’ll take what you’ve learned and transform it into sound and visuals through Live Coding. Guided by Alexandra Cardenas, Britney A. King, and Bethany Rivera from the SciArt Live Coding team, you’ll experiment with code to turn complex scientific ideas into immersive audiovisual experiences.

Special guest Joshua Cunningham will present a modular synth demo and performance, showing how electronic systems and creative expression connect.
