Thurs. 6/9 at 9am: This week on America's Music Festivals, hear the Santa Fe Desert Chorale perform works by Benjamin Britten, Guiseppe Sarti, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and more.Santa Fe is exactly mid-way between Albuquerque and Taos along the ancient trade route that led from Mexico City to Taos. In 1598 explorer Juan de O?ate named the route after King Philip of Spain "The Royal Road" or Camino Real. Santa Fe is a cultural treasure trove, with art galleries, Native American crafts, museums, and an abundance of world-class music. The Santa Fe Desert Chorale is one of those treasures.
