The Children's Hour, 5/18 Sat. 9a:  On Saturday, May 18, The Children's Hour is broadcasting live at the Los Griegos Library in Albuquerque's historic Los Griegos neighborhood and everyone is invited to join us! All ages are welcome. Doors open early at 8:30am, and feel free to come anytime during the show from 9 to 10am.   We'll dive into the Summer Reading program, hear storytellers Scott and Johanna Hongell Darsee, and we'll learn about Albuquerque Public Schools' Refugee and Newcomers Program.  With musical guest, Maya Falcón from The Children's Hour Kids Crew.

The Children's Hour, 5/11 Sat 9a: New Mexico’s state bird is famous as a cartoon character, but what’s the real deal with roadrunners?  The Children’s Hour kids crew interview Dr. Christopher Witt from the Museum of Southwestern Biology about our the legendary roadrunner.  We also speak with UNM student and roadrunner researcher, Tina Guo about a groundbreaking project to study New Mexico’s roadrunners.  Find out about a new musical written by a high school student, Colin Miller about a young man with autism struggling to cope with the suicide of his brother.

Featuring cultural educator and storyteller Jon Ghahate (Laguna/Zuni) and live Native music with Steven Toya of Zia Pueblo. Learn about the Pueblo people and their ancestors who have called New Mexico home for thousands of years. Children’s Hour listeners are invited to be part of this live broadcast, doors open early at 8:30am.  All ages are welcome to join us for FREE for Community Day at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center for the Children’s Hour for our live broadcast from 9 to 10am.

Santa Fe troubadour Joe West will be our musical guest. Find out what’s the story with Meow Wolf this Saturday and be part of our live audience.  Doors open for 30 minutes at 8:30am for FREE admission for Children's Hour attendees. See you in the Multiverse! 

January 19, 9-10am: Everyone is welcome to join The Children’s Hour  broadcast live from the Tony Hillerman Branch Library at 8205 Apache Ave NE in Albuquerque. Learn why we named a library after author Tony Hillerman. With live music from Sage Harrington and her ukulele playing students, and storytelling from the amazing librarians on staff. This is a *FAMILY FRIENDLY AND FREE* event. The library will open early at 8:30am for show attendees.

The Children's Hour, Sat 12/29 9a: We'll play something from all of the Grammy nominees for 2018's Best Children's Release, plus more of our favorites that came out this year. We'll also find out what happens when a dog or cat ends up in the pound. Bernalillo County Animal Welfare will be bringing in some furry adoptable friends to tell the tale of their journey, and where they go from here.
