Traditional and Contemporary Jazz - Sons of the legendary Dave Brubeck, Chris (bassist, trombonist, and composer) and Dan (drummer) explore the melodies, rhythms, culture, and spontaneous spirit of jazz. Virtuoso guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb complete this dynamic quartet.

While there’s a trove of Dave Brubeck works to draw from, there is original music from the band's members that finds its way into the set. Chris Brubeck said the nature of the art form is such that carrying on their father’s legacy does not mean museum music. Even their takes on well-known Dave Brubeck selections, like “Take Five” or “Blue Rondo a la Turk” are done with modifications and different voicings or tempos.

The pacing of the set list, spiced up by Chris telling stories about his father and the origins of different tunes, makes for a captivating presentation.
