Recovery Resolana

Recovery Resolana
We are currently planning a Recovery Resolana Celebration event that is free (exception of food trucks) and open to the public. September is national recovery month and our celebration is in honor of the recovery that has happened here because our continued efforts. A Resolana is a culturally significant practice that has thrived throughout the Southwest. A Resolana is a specific space for community members to talk about community issues, needs, advocate for change, and a place to find solidarity. In the spirit of recovery, we are creating an opportunity to recover culture as well, and naming a practice that happens in our community.
The recovery celebration will include a food truck(s), games, activities, music, and recovery testimonies. Games to include “safety” ax throwing, Tetris, corn hole, and “Recovery Jeopardy”. Activities will include a bouncy house, photo booth, art therapy, karaoke, jewelry making, Hepatitis C, HIV, and glucose testing, an opportunity to share personal recovery stories/journeys, a special performance by DJ/music group, and the presentations of the Recovery Resolana Spotlight recognition!
