UNM has many veterans currently using Post-911 and other Education benefits who have never applied for a disability rating, who have a low disability rating, or who are not aware of other available VA benefits. VA staff will be on hand to answer your questions and help you file your claims on campus this Wednesday, 04/23/2025.

Department of Veterans Affairs, in collaboration with UNM Veteran & Military Resource Center (VMRC), will host an afternoon event for UNM student Veterans to apply for disability rating on campus. This event will help unrated Veterans get started on the disability rating process, or submit application for an increase, which may lead you to be rated and entitled to more VA benefits.

There will be snacks, refreshments and a raffle at the event.
