Toast to the holiday season in effervescent style at Corn Maiden during the Sparkling Wine Celebration on Sunday, December 21, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Guests will delight in a festive tasting of sparkling wines ranging from crisp and refreshing to rich and aromatic, each poured with insights into its origin and character. To complement every sip, the culinary team will present chef-crafted tasting plates designed to enhance the vibrancy and elegance of each glass. Whether you prefer bright citrus notes or creamy, biscuity finishes, this experience offers a sparkling showcase of holiday cheer. Tickets are $55 per person and include all tastings and pairings. Dinner reservations are available from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and are highly encouraged to continue the celebration (dinner not included in ticket price).

This community of practice emerged as a direct result of Prospera Partner’s Disrupting the Path: A New Way Forward for NM's Social Sector conversations where attendees expressed the desire for more opportunities to connect with other nonprofit organizations and of course, the people working within them. Spies of the Manhattan Project
Go beyond the history books and into the shadows of the Manhattan Project with David Kitchen, a retired Director from the CIA's Directorate of Operations. He brings unparalleled insight into the Soviet espionage that compromised America's most guarded secret. This gripping presentation reveals how spies used sophisticated techniques to steal nuclear information, setting the stage for the Cold War. Learn the truth about the individuals who risked everything to betray their nation.

David Kitchen, Senior Intelligence Service, Directorate of Operations, CIA (Ret), will explore:

Operational details of Soviet spycraft within the Manhattan Project.

Join us on Thursday, January 15, at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. Doors open at 5:30 pm. The presentation begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 7:30 pm

Join the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History to meet Francis Gary Powers, Jr., author of "Spy Pilot" and son of the U-2 spy pilot, for a special screening of Bridge of Spies (rated PG-13) at the museum.

The doors will open at 5:30 PM, and Francis Gary Powers, Jr., will speak briefly about his father's life and experiences in Cold War espionage. The movie, Bridge of Spies, starring Tom Hanks, will then be shown, followed by Q&A and a book signing by Francis Gary Powers, Jr.

Explore the fascinating history of the Atomic Age and enjoy fun, hands-on STEM activities for all ages, New Mexico True vendors craft show, food trucks, and sneak peek tours of the new Museum Artifact Center (opens to the public in March). Don't miss this chance to discover the Museum.

Enjoy a family-friendly night of espionage featuring spy games, fun photo ops, special artifacts, STEM activities, and delicious food trucks. Enjoy a screening of the award-winning documentary, Alamogordo, Center of the World, Trinity 1945, by filmmaker Larry Sheffield. Seating for the documentary is limited.
