Several thousand supporters showed up at Donald Trump’s last-minute campaign stop on Sunday night in Albuquerque. KUNM chatted with them as they waited in line at the private hangar near the city's airport.

Mariann Carson from Tijeras talked about the new batch of emails the FBI is reviewing that might be related to Hillary Clinton’s use of a private account.

Mariann Carson, Tijeras: Well, it seems very obvious to me there must be some very very important things. Well, she did not follow protocol. Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin shared that. So that’s out in the whole world. You know, you’re talking about 335 million Americans whose security has been breached. That’s serious, and the FBI would never have come out unless there were something there. I’m going to vote for Donald Trump simply because if we don’t have someone who knows what a balance sheet is supposed to look like, everything else will be a moot.

Wayne Garcia, Albuquerque: I already voted. I did vote for Trump. I think he’d be a great asset to the country. I think he’d be able to help our economy. He’s a leader just because of the business he started from scratch. What he’s become I think could help our country. I think he runs a good campaign. He only got dirty towards the end because of Hillary, and I think now Hillary’s paying for it with all the stuff that’s coming out from the WikiLeaks. To be honest, I think it was a strategy Trump’s going to use, and he’s going to use that to his advantage. I actually think something’s going to happen at the polls. More people are involved in politics than ever.

Phillip Chavez and his daughter wait in line outside the Trump rally.

Phillip Chavez, Santa Fe: I’m going to vote for Trump. We’re tired of the same old political system, and we’re ready for a change. I like his campaign because he’s going to be dealing with immigration, which is a big problem in our community and our country. I like what he’s going to do with the VA, being a disabled vet. We need some changes. I’ve said things in my past that embarrass, and I hope they would never come up. He apologized. He’s going to win by a landslide. You know the media is really putting out what they want people to hear, but America needs change.

Jenna Culver

Jenna Culver, Los Lunas: The country as a whole is not really thrilled with either of our candidates, and I don’t know how our election process got us to a point of choosing the lesser of two evils as opposed to the person we actually believe is the best political person to lead the country—or even just person in general. I’m probably going to vote for Trump because Hillary is not a great option. She’s proven herself to be untrustworthy, and she’s continued to lie to the country for years. When it comes to women, he’s a bit of an idiot. He may not have the personal respect for women that I think a man should have, but I don’t see him forcing anti-feminist laws down our throats either.
