This in-person professional development (PD) presentation AM session will focus on lesson plan creation facilitated by Dr. Audra Platero. This will allow participants and Diné educators to gain the tools to create their own lesson (s) and see one demonstrated first-hand. The PM session, facilitated by Jered Lee, Sunwise Horseworks LLC, will focus on creating an atmosphere of learning and character development for participants through the interaction with horses​​.

The learning outcome is to gather the knowledge and tools to develop a curriculum/lesson plan or develop a new teaching perspectives.

Who Should Participate?
•Community members include parents, guardians, family members and youth/students.
•Family-based includes teachers, teaching assistants, and directors who serve Diné children and families.
•All levels of Diné language skills and knowledge are welcomed.

Why Should I Participate?
•Children to see and hear a Diné heritage language and culture.
•Families/Guardians who have children to promote language and culture and engagement with their children.
•Educators who are more value-driven, open to positive learning outcomes in their students, and have their own professional spaces for learning.
