Monthly Community Sound Bath - first Mondays* | 6:30pm *Holidays push one week, ex. April 13 (second Monday).

Join Douglas Cardwell and Lotus Sound Bath at the free monthly sound healing series at the Cathedral of St. John, downtown ABQ (Silver & 3rd). This event is held on the first Monday of most months (holidays may affect schedule) and offers a wonderful way to experience sound healing for the first -or 100th time, and to introduce others to the sound bath experience in a welcoming, contemplative, and beautiful surrounding with great acoustics (and labyrinth!). This is a secular event, FREE, and everyone is welcome! So, feel free to bring friends and family and join us to break the daily routine, unplug (to recharge), release stress and deeply relax with a unique instrumental meditation practice and gathering. We love seeing and welcoming everyone at St. John's! 🕊️

*Registration is optional, but helpful. Please arrive early! Parking and entrance on East side. Extra parking is available on street (Silver & 3rd) and in the adjoining lot to South, accessed from Lead Ave. Feel free to bring your mat, comforter, pillow, etc. to get comfortable. Dress warm in winter months. Floor space is limited but there is plenty of seating within the cathedral. Please avoid strong fragrances, and kindly NO recording during session. Thank You!

Harwood Museum of Art and Taos Land Trust are teaming up with several collaborators to celebrate Northern New Mexican land traditions including adobe construction, seed saving, textile production and animal husbandry at Rio Fernando Park. This FREE all-ages event will be the culmination of a series of adobe festivals happening across Taos Elementary Schools. Student’s adobe bricks will be brought together to assemble a community seed library for Rio Fernando Park’s new children’s garden, with support from the UNM-Taos Construction Program and the TLC Youth Conservation Corps. The event will include live music by the Arellano Brothers, a community meal, the grand opening of the KINnection Children’s Garden, horno cooking with Henrietta Gomez, sheep shearing demonstrations with La Paysanne Farms, farm stands, a seed saving workshop, storytelling, weaving and spinning.

Blue Sky NM and Harwood Art Center have partnered to present a special SURFACE: Emerging Artists of NM Alumni Satellite Gallery. This opportunity is designed to support the continued professional growth, visibility, and viability of Harwood's SURFACE Alumni, as well as a new fellowship for an emerging curator, inaugurally held by Jakia Fuller.

Join us to learn more directly from the artists Christian Gallegos, Ben Roe Jr. and Jen H Doolittle. They'll share how this exhibition Route 66: A Deep Imagining explores the centennial of Route 66. They'll share more about the various stories and narratives that coincide with this historic passage, exploring the perspective of place, collective consciousness, and the daily lives of the people who work and live along the route – past, present, and future.
