Feb 27 Friday
FUSION is thrilled to host Easy Jim for their debut performance in New Mexico at FUSION | 708 on Friday, February 27, at 7:30 PM (doors at 6:30 PM).
“Settle back easy, Jim…” The words of Robert Hunter in the song “Althea” seemed to fit the mold of the band when it began in the fall of 2018 . The laid back group of musicians from Gunnison and Crested Butte, Colorado, found a common love for the music with one another and a desire to learn and perform the material. The six piece ensemble features the same instrumentation as the Grateful Dead including two drummers and four part vocal harmonies. Easy Jim is known for their exciting original improvisations, high energy performances, and attention to detail. No two shows are ever the same, and it’s always Easy Jim’s mission to provide a visceral concert experience that pays tribute to one of the most infamous rock ‘n’ roll bands, The Grateful Dead.
Celebrate the live Grateful Dead experience with Easy Jim at Fusion on Friday, February 27th! Doors open at 6:30pm, showtime is 7:30pm, and tickets can be found at www.fusionnm.org. Easy Jim thanks you for supporting live music!

With The Bad Plus, acclaimed artists Chris Potter and Craig Taborn revisit the formative repertoire of Keith Jarrett’s American Quartet. The project is not simply a tribute to one of jazz’s most influential ensembles, it’s a continuation of the American Quartet’s spirit: a fearless commitment to musical dialogue, emotional depth, and boundary-pushing improvisation.
Founding members Reid Anderson and Dave King, whose work with The Bad Plus helped redefine modern jazz, combine with Potter’s commanding tenor saxophone and Taborn’s brilliant piano to capture the raw, exploratory energy of the American Quartet while bringing their own distinct voices to the material.

It wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without a visit from Lúnasa! These Irish music superstars return to the Lensic for the fourth time to bring joyous Celtic tunes to our stage. Not only are they standout musicians, they have a sense of humor that will leave you warmer than an Irish whiskey.
Lúnasa was formed in 1997 by members of some of the greatest Irish groups of the previous decade, an early review from Folk Roots magazine describing the band as an “Irish music dream team.” From the start, the band’s complex arrangements and unique sound reshaped the boundaries of traditional music and energized audiences.
