Confirmers will respond to sightings and offer on the ground documentation and support to detainees, their families and bystanders. Please help keep the City safe.

Fiesta Flamenca Burqueña is a Flamenco festival presented by Flamenco Works in downtown Albuquerque. The festival transforms the heart of the city into a vibrant cultural hub featuring world-class flamenco dance, live music, educational workshops, cultural experiences, food, and community activities. Designed for all ages, Fiesta Flamenca Burqueña invites you to discover the passion, artistry, and rich cultural traditions of Flamenco while fostering connection, learning, and appreciation through unforgettable experiences.

Join us on September 26th at Civic Plaza! This vibrant event showcases legendary Flamenco artist "El Torombo" alongside world-class artists from the U.S. and Spain, and brings together extraordinary performances under an iconic New Mexican sunset. The festival features a full evening of world-class Flamenco dance and music, food trucks, beverages, and kids' activities! Opening the performance will be Flamenco Works youth company, Flamenquitas del Barrio, as well as Jesús Muñoz Flamenco, a nationally recognized Flamenco touring company based in Albuquerque. The night will culminate with performances from legendary Flamenco artist "El Torombo".

Stick around the next day, September 27th, to experience Flamenco in its most authentic form, up close and personal. Located inside a historic Route 66 venue, this evening performance will be a night to remember. Sit close enough to feel the stage vibrate with fast footwork, immerse yourself in the soulful, passionate energy, and be taken away by the "duende" or magic of the dance and music.

Travel back to the music, culture, and spirit of the 1960s with The Sixties Show. This high-energy Off Broadway multimedia show from NYC combines authentic vintage instruments, archival historic footage, and dazzling visuals alongside musicians who are current and former band members of The Who, The Rascals, Hall & Oates and John Fogerty.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (IPCC), this exhibition highlights the Center’s history through Pueblo imagery and perspectives of the past, present, and future. A combination of fifty objects from the IPCC’s Collections and Archives, with an emphasis on Pueblo pottery, illustrates the significance of the Center as a gathering place where Pueblo arts and culture are celebrated by visitors from around the world and, at once, nurtured by Pueblo communities across the generations. Gallery videos, updated throughout the year, will feature interviews with Pueblo artists, scholars, and culture bearers that present insider views of the IPCC. Join us to celebrate the exhibition on March 21 from 5-8pm during our free, public reception. Organized by the School for Advanced Research (SAR) and the Vilcek Foundation, Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery, a unique traveling exhibition featuring over 100 historic and contemporary works in clay, offers a visionary understanding of Pueblo pots as vessels that carry community-based knowledge and personal experience. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (IPCC), established by the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico in 1976, welcomes the pottery vessels back to the Southwest as the “returning home” host venue of the exhibition’s four-year national tour. Curated by the Pueblo Pottery Collective, Grounded in Clay opens at the IPCC as the leading program of the Center’s 50th anniversary celebration year. The exhibition and its associated events are generously supported by the First Nations Development Institute and Noon Whistle Fund.

On the 100th anniversary of Route 66 in 2026, experience “The Old Road”—a mural that at once remembers the first major highway traversing the United States and gives emphasis to its impact on Pueblo communities and New Mexico. Through the eyes of artists Warren Montoya (Pueblos of Santa Ana/Santa Clara), Margarita Paz-Pedro (Pueblo of Laguna/Mexican American), Akilah Martinez (Diné), and Keith Scott (Pueblo of Laguna), this multi-dimensional installation travels through time showing Pueblo people and places along the “Mother Road,” otherwise known as Route 66. Explore the eccentric narrative created by these artists as they look at multiple roads simultaneously, from ancestral times to recent history, to glimpses of the present and future. Already a historic exchange route within Indigenous communities, Route 66 still echoes in the personality and culture of New Mexico byways. Journey through this mural located in the Art Through Struggle Gallery at the end of the IPCC’s permanent exhibition.
